Due to the continuing adverse weather conditions across most of the UK we are seeing an increase in missed engineer visits from Openreach. We would like to advise all customers to call our provisioning team on 01752 638484 to check the status of their appointment if weather in your area is particularly bad, we will be able to advise you further and re-arrange your appointment if required.

If we receive notification from Openreach that your appointment is cancelled, or that there will be a delay we will try to contact you using the contact details (telephone, email and fax) on your account - please ensure that these are up to date via your control panel or by emailing customercare@firstcitytelecom.com.

The recent snow and ice across the country has led to an increase in the number of calls we've received from clients needing a way to allow their staff to continue to receive calls while working from home, in some cases this is as simple as changing the number calls are connected to from an office number to a mobile or home number but we're aware that this isn't always the best solution for larger businesses where calls are taken by groups of people.

SnowWe're currently receiving around three times the number of support calls for number changes due to people not being able to use their offices. This is resulting in longer than normal waiting times when calling us and we apologise for the delay.

The latest information on waiting times and any additional changes to our normal working hours, etc will be posted on the contact us page.

We aren't expecting any major disruption to customer service functions during the bad weather and we will post any information relating to BT or carrier faults caused by the snow and ice on our blog as soon as we are made aware of them.

All number changes requests are being processed in real time (and can also be submitted for instant processing via the control panel.
