Due to adverse weather conditions across parts of the UK we’re currently experiencing high call volumes to our offices and there may be a longer than normal delay when answering calls.

We are also processing a higher than normal number of change requests for divert numbers and booking additional BT Openreach appointments for customers experiencing line faults, this additional workload is causing a slight delay with email responses and where manual changes are required on numbers and lines.

Updated 10:15am 24th August 2010: This issue has now been resolved and all calls are connecting normally.

We are currently experiencing a problem affecting customers with numbers starting 0800 849, 0808 165, 0845 177, 0845 180, 0844 887, 0871 217 and some geographic phone numbers where calls are connected to mobiles.

The problem is causing some calls to be disconnected or to reach an engaged tone.

Maintenance was completed at 11:49 for both systems

There will be outages of approx 10 to 15 minutes tomorrow (6th August) whilst we add additional capacity to our voicemail platform. During this time it will not be possible for calls to be connected to voicemail and callers will hear a message asking them to call back later.

We will also be running a disk check on our billing systems which will mean staff will have limited access and some information may be unavailable in the control panel. Our website may also be slow to load while this takes place.
